Meet Kari McNamara, RN, BSN, NBC-HWC

Hello! I’m Kari – Registered Nurse, Mama, and Health Coach from West Linn, Oregon.

Ever since I began my nursing journey, my passion has been working with women, infants, and families. During my 25 year career as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, I saw the importance of providing hands on learning and helpful education for parents to empower them to feel confident as they prepared to take their newborn home. These past several years, as I moved into a women’s healthcare clinic setting, I have been drawn to the complexities that women deal with in regards to their health. The importance of promoting good health, rather than just treating illness and disease,  led me to become a nationally board certified health coach. Throughout that training, I learned the importance of  truly listening and asking key questions to support clients reach their optimal health through their own individual health goals.

Personally, I have been married to my husband for over 30 years and we enjoy traveling to see our 4 great kids, now young adults! We have 2 adorable golden retrievers and enjoy golfing and the outdoors, especially the beach.  In my spare time, I love having coffee with friends, reading, and gardening.
